Screenshot to Bet

A customer sees something interesting in sport. Instead of manually finding the event and market, the product reads the screenshot, understands the context and opens the relevant sportsbook inventory.

Working demo

From something you saw to something you can explore.

No real upload is needed in this prototype. Choose a simulated stat card, social post, lineup or live score and see how the same interaction could work.

What AI does

Read the image and turn context into structured signals.

Illustrative concept prototype. Screens, events and odds are fictional demo content. A production version would validate every result against live operator inventory.

Why this exists

Sports discovery often happens outside the sportsbook.

Customers see lineups in social feeds, player form in stat apps, scores in notifications and analysis in group chats. The interesting sporting context is already in front of them — but the sportsbook journey usually starts again from zero.

Screenshot to Bet turns the image into a bridge. The screenshot supplies the context; AI identifies the event, participants and sporting signal; the sportsbook then returns relevant markets from its existing catalogue.

01 · Customer behaviour

The sportsbook is not where every betting idea begins.

A thought can start with a graphic, a stat, a lineup announcement or a live-score screen. Asking the customer to recreate that context through navigation creates unnecessary work between interest and discovery.

02 · Product opportunity

Use the screenshot as a shortcut into the catalogue.

The value is not image recognition on its own. The useful product step is connecting recognised sporting context directly to the event and market inventory the operator can actually offer.

03 · AI role

Understand context first. Let sportsbook systems decide what is valid.

AI can identify teams, players, scores, statistics and relationships in the image. Market availability, combinability, pricing and settlement remain controlled by the sportsbook stack.

The product rationale

Turn external sports context into an internal discovery surface.

Search assumes the customer knows what to type. Navigation assumes they know where to look. A screenshot can already contain the entities, event and reason for interest. The product can use that context instead of asking the customer to reconstruct it.

Context recovery

Start from what the customer is already looking at.

The image can carry event names, player names, game state, statistics and other clues that would otherwise need to be entered manually.

Discovery

Open the relevant part of the sportsbook, not a generic homepage.

Once the context is resolved, the product can deep-link into the event and surface matching market groups or selections.

Inventory

Work with markets that already exist.

The concept does not require AI-generated pricing. It can sit above the existing catalogue and use operator validation as the source of truth.

Learning

Understand what external content creates betting intent.

At aggregate level, the product can reveal which kinds of stats, team news or live moments repeatedly lead customers to search for markets.

A deliberately narrow AI job

Read the image. Resolve the context. Stop there.

The strongest version keeps a clean boundary between interpretation and sportsbook logic. AI helps identify what the screenshot is about; existing operator systems remain responsible for whether a market exists and what it costs.

If the screenshot is ambiguous or the relevant market does not exist, the right product behaviour is to say that clearly — not manufacture a match.

Product principles

The screenshot is context, not authority.

01

Never invent inventory.

Only surface selections confirmed by the operator catalogue.

02

Show what was recognised.

Make the event, player and signal visible so the customer can catch a wrong interpretation.

03

Separate fact from relevance.

The image can explain why a market is being surfaced without presenting the screenshot as a prediction.

04

Keep the next step familiar.

The result should open an event, market list or normal bet slip — not trap the user in an AI conversation.

The bigger idea

Discovery can start anywhere sport is being consumed.

If sportsbook interfaces can understand context from text and images, the traditional event-page hierarchy no longer needs to be the only front door into market inventory.

Start a conversation

What if the sportsbook could understand what the customer is already looking at?

Keep market control inside the sportsbook. Use the screenshot only to shorten the distance between sporting context and discovery.
